A half block down the street is the Meadowbank train station.  The line runs in to the CBD (Central Business District) across the Orakei Basin.  There are paths / stairs / pedestrian causeways that go all the way around the basin.

The weather has reverted to more typical ‘winter’ weather.  Sun, clouds, rain, harder rain, sun, with occasional hail thrown in.  We have heard the expression “four seasons in one day” several times already.
